FIRST SUBMISSION OF 2011 YAY.
Part of the bonus of enduring the long haul that is the Way of Moderation OCT is being featured on increasingly cool cover pages. At least I hope it's been increasingly cool. As the story progresses I've settled more and more into this high contrast B&W comic style. Only I'd never attempted to draw clouds noir before, and it proved to be a frustrating exercise in "colour by numbers" until I felt I got something right. I dunno. Maybe?
Anyway, the final two left in the OCT are Crimson and Leon. Leon has a shiny new suit of armor and chainmail, which had me spending extra time designing it (note particularly the modification to the "rampant lion" heraldry.)
As participants already know though, their match has been, uhm, postponed due to extenuating circumstances i.e. PANIC.
EDITS: just changed it about a million times to make Leon look more hyena-ish (because he's a hyena-man), and the hood less tri-pointy.
